Tools of the Trade: Stabilo Felt Tip Markers

STABILO is a German maker of pens for writing and coloring as well as highlighters for office use. The company was founded in Nuremberg in 1855!

I just picked up a mini set of my favorite felt tip pens ever, STABILO! They last and last; I’ve had a lone red one for three months and used it every single day to write in my planner; it’s still going strong. They’re perfect for jotting down notes or coloring and never seem to dry out as long as you snap the caps back on. If you’re looking for a basic marker that doesn’t bleed through paper, colors evenly every time and has a stylishly striped outside, STABILO is for you!

They are my favorite felt tip pens too! I’ve been using them for years and haven’t found anything that comes close…

you should write an entry in your favorite color – of course that way we can all analyze your handwriting…! :)

Stabilo pens are hard to find in Canada, but lucky for me my boss brings them back from Europe(!). I’m hooked. They work great in my Moleskine because they don’t bleed through the paper. Perfection.

Rob: Agreed. I am totally hooked.

Jaime: Hee, that’s a fantastic idea!

Lesley: They’re sort of hard to find everywhere! I got lucky that an art supply store in Austin had a bunch of ‘em. I use ‘em in the ol’ Moleskine too!

Miss Elle: Mine are a little more of a felt tip, but STABILO also does more of a fine tip:

I love these markers, I saw them in one of your previous posts, which got me excited. Having an entry as tribute to them is awesome. These things deserve the love!
