The Art Of Sewing: Judging a Book By Its Cover Part 3

I recently thrifted this book solely for the cover because I was won over by the mod fabric (charmingly glued on slightly crooked). This is from a series of sewing books TIME-LIFE released in 1973. The beautiful typography on the spine continues throughout the entire inside…

Hi, I have the same book and I blogged about it when I purchased it on eBay. Since then I have bought a whole set of these books. Did you know that there are 16 volumes of these pretty vintage books. I know I didn’t and I paid 10 dollars for the pink one and my whole set cost a fraction of the ten. But hey I am not angry, If I had not paid the 10 dollars I would not have know what a greatvintage find these books are. Enjoy!

Ohh and if you think this book is pretty you have to see the whole set!

I have slowly acquired the entire set from years of thrifting and lucky book sale finds! All the covers are *so amazing* and beautiful! I have them displayed in my room because the graphic covers are just too pretty to hide away in a bookshelf!

eva: Thank you. :}

Kristin: Yeah, you and I…we’re always into the same things…clothes, design, the whole lot!

Mona: I saw most of the set next to this one at the thrift store and passed them up because I didn’t have room….now I’m kicking myself for not grabbing them all. So pretty and inspiring!

Casey: Ah, it seems like a bunch of people are into these books…I had no idea.
