I found this book at the local Salvation Army; the cover was so retro, poppy, and brilliant that I jumped with glee. And, even though I bought it for the cover, this one seems like a worthwhile read. Nobody can deny the power of Jackie O! It’s shelved next to Scruples. Brilliant typography deserves to be in good company.

Last night, I went out to The Matador with a bunch of folks including Mistina and Eliza. I was so excited to spot an original black and white photobooth- there’s something so classic about the photo strips that come out of these! I forgot that the strips come out sopping wet and take awhile to dry, so a few got smeared. As you can see, we had a great time…except for when a guy came over and yelled at us because we were “blinding him.” We had forgotten to close the photobooth curtain!
