First Thursday Portland: New Art
Two weeks ago (I’m so behind!), I briefly went out to First Thursday, Portland’s monthly artwalk. I only had time to check out two shows- the work below was at the Portland Art Center and so amazing in person. I didn’t get the artist’s name but there were layers of intricately cut pieces of wood on the floor with thin resin coatings, and the wall mural was a magical trip of collage layers. Loved it!!
P.S. My friend, digital collage artist / surrealist Claudia Drake had her first Portland solo show over at Sequential Art. If you live in Portland, this is definitely worth checking out.
